Got brand new song out called “Afternoon Stretch” and it's flaming hot. Check it out.
'twas A beautiful saturday morn the day Baer Traa was born and the people knew he was destined for greatness. Legend has it that the first sound he made on this earth was a babies cry so smooth, it made the nurses blush and faint of elation.
And now he has made a record to solidify his legend'ry. Afternoon Stretch is the accumulation of long hours of studio work he did in between session projects from 2020 onward. The singer fed himself 70's and soul and yacht rock records for breakfast, lunch and dinner until all that came out of him were slices of pure sonic velvet. Though aided in recording by his live band, he plays most instruments himself. A craft he picked up playing keyboards, guitars and singing backup for other artists over the years. His workflow is inspired by early Prince records, as he also engineered, produced and mixed the album in solitude. This made his singular vision unimpaired from external opinions. When confronted by others mentioning that it might be good to let some other people into his creative process, he gets a little grumpy: "People say I'm stubborn, but I think those people are wrong".
After making records in bands and as a session player, Baer Traa got his start as an artist making the EP Out of Thin Air in 2019. It contained the single Stone Cold Woman which got him on the radio airwaves and led to performances at jazz festivals and clubs. As these were still relatively small time ventures, he started working on his first full length album which is now seeing the light of day. It is meant to be his rocketship into great success so get ready for a creative, joyful record by an artist who has only just begun to shine his inspired and energetic light on the music scene.
